What is the relationship between SABS & Agrément SA?
The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) by definition deals with subjects that have or can be standardised. When a new product, process, method of production or innovative use of a material is developed it falls outside the scope of existing SABS standards then this is where Agrément South Africa steps in.
Agrément SA performs a series of tests on the subject and once it is approved, the client is issued with a certificate that provides the assurance of fitness-for-purpose allowing confident use of the product.
